Boston Saxophone Quartet Reviews

"Peter, what a treat yesterday's performance at The Gables was for me and the many residents in attendance. The ensemble played such intricate and exciting arrangements of timely pieces on Veterans' Day, that the time flew by. Your selections and complex arrangements are always tuneful, original, and beautifully polished. Thank you for another wonderful program."

“The Boston Saxophone Quartet once again gave a fabulous performance at the Walpole Public Library. Young and old musicians and music lovers were treated to an interesting and varied program by these talented musicians. Their introductions to each number gave us more knowledge of their instruments and the music. They encouraged the audience, especially the young folks, to ask questions about the musical and their instruments.”

“Every time the Boston Sax Quartet performs for our community, everyone leaves smiling and so excited. Their holiday performance was no different! They played old-time favorites like Santa Claus is Coming to Town, and meshed in more recent songs such as We Don’t Talk About Bruno. Their stage presence is amazing, and working with them to coordinate the concert was a breeze.”

Hello,
Some friends and I just attended your concert yesterday in Salem. It was lovely! The selections you performed were "spot on” and the length of each were just right. A little history and background gave it more meaning too. The venue at the Athenaeum was so very nice and on such a beautiful day!
Thank you to all these talented musicians! Helen

I had the opportunity to experience a performance by the Boston Saxophone Quartet at the Medford Public Library recently and they did not disappoint. Each member of the group displayed a level of musicality and enthusiasm that resonated throughout the performance. The ensemble projected a clear, even tone with four different types of saxophones blending seamlessly. The one hour performance moves along at a sprightly pace. All the musicians interjected humorous antidotes between numbers in their creative and varied set list, keeping the audience engaged and entertained. Highly recommended.

Dear Boston Saxophone Quartet and Music Performance Trust Fund,
I want to express my sincere gratitude for your work with our music students at Lynnfield High School. The level of musicianship and professionalism demonstrated was truly remarkable, providing an unforgettable experience for our students. For many of these young musicians, the opportunity to witness performers of your caliber up close is rare, and it was quite inspiring.
Moreover, the compassion, humor, and openness exhibited by the performers during their interactions with the students were so heartwarming. Your visit has left a lasting impression on our music program and created enthusiasm among our students. Thank you for contributing to the enrichment of our musical education at Lynnfield High School.

The Boston Saxophone Quartet entertained - and delighted – a very engaged audience at North Hill Retirement Community on April 28, 2022. Peter Cokkinias, who organized the event with me was charming and responsive. The group had a great rapport with the audience, answering questions and connecting with them. The residents have already asked me to plan a return visit!

All Swing Program at Nichols Village, Groveland
"The residents at Nichols Village, An Independent Retirement Community in Groveland, MA, were recently entertained by the BSQ. They thoroughly enjoyed the performance not only because of their professionalism and talented backgrounds, but because they engaged the residents. They made the music come to life for the residents because they explained the background to each number performed, and had lively banter go back and forth over the course of the evening. A nice connection between musicians and audience. A fabulous evening for all."
