Salem Athenaeum Summer Concert

Come to the Salem Athenaeum (map) for a special Friday evening concert of Puccini, Mancini, and Duke by Boston Saxophone Quartet.

The Boston Saxophone Quartet is a unique blend of musicians who have performed with the Boston Pops and Boston Symphony Orchestra and leading Broadway theaters throughout New England. Their repertoire ranges from Swing, Ragtime, Jazz, The Beatles … all the way back to the Renaissance.

This evening’s program will include:

The Boston Saxophone Quartet, a unique blend of musicians combining a tremendous range of repertoire and individual experience, returns to perform at the Jenks featuring the music of the immortal Duke Ellington, Benny Goodman, Glenn Miller and more with introductions and interesting commentary prior to each piece.  The BSQ have performed with the Boston Pops, Boston Symphony Orchestra and leading Broadway theaters throughout New England. Join Tom Ferrante (soprano saxophone), Jim Repa (alto saxophone), Peter Cokkinias (tenor saxophone), and Rod Ferland (baritone saxophone), for a delightful concert experience.  This program is supported by a generous grant from the John and Mary Murphy Educational Foundation.
